Abstract
The process of designing a new makeup look can be a challenging task, considering the skin tone and the decision of which colors to use and their intensity. Moreover, knowing the proper combination of colors could also increase the hardness of this task. We propose a hybrid metaheuristic algorithm named MUSA: MakeUp Simulated Annealing, a computational creativity approach capable of generating personalized makeup looks. The algorithm combines aspects of Simulated Annealing and Evolutionary Algorithms to emulate the creative process of designing a new makeup style that can be perceived as creative by humans, based on the user's skin tone and preferred level of intensity. MUSA generates templates of artificially generated looks, intended to serve as practical guides for makeup application.
